It’s 12 July ‘14 and Day 2 in my ‘Writing/Art Room’ that hangs precariously over the 100’ drop into the ravine at my New Cabin Home!
“YeeHaw & Yippee Kai-Yay!!”
It’s not ‘fixed-up’ yet, but the bed’s out, the carpet’s in and the moss has been washed from the massive window that overlooks my ‘Winter Fall’ (the Mighty Tiny waterfall that fills the ravine with Music in the wintertime) and ‘Abbi’s Pond’ on ‘Audri’s Creek’.
So, here I sit in my round ‘Hippi Chair’ wrapped in Lovely mornin’ light from the 3 windows that surround me, filtered by the canopy of the ravine. My laptop battery just died, so I had to run out and pull ‘Genny’s’ tail a half a dozen times to wake her up, stop to reheat my coffee water over the fire for a refill, and scurry back to My Writing Room, shadowed by a Dukk & a Roo.
Pardon me, but I Simply Must say It again:
My Writing Room.
Hmm- I just Love the way That sounds, don’t you!
Before I get back to the Original purpose of this particular blog, which was to update Those of You that worried over my sudden absence from my soapbox for the past two months, I am inspired to talk about My Thoughts on: The Colour of Green.
Sitting here, in the now, ‘late’ morning light (0840 hours), I’ve come to realize that one of my favorite art suppliers –Crayola- has overlooked about 100 different hues of that particular shade. This is both Sadd and Happi at the same time. ‘Happi’, becuz I get to name them!!
Did you know that the Douglas (Rocky Mtn) Maple leaves glow the most spectacular fluorescent green when the sun shines thru it? Hmmm…. think I’ll call that one: ‘Morning Maple Green’. Are you writing this down, Crayola?
I almost forgot-
I met the ‘new’ neighbors yester and have decided they’re a durn Groovi couple o’ Kidz! Today, we’re going to a talk down at the Village library on how to identify, harvest & use 3 local medicinal herbs: Red Clover, the wild Rose & Yarrow. I’m so excited! I gotta run and heat up some wash water over the fire and pull my pretty Hippi Gyrl dress off the line where I hang my laundry to dry over in the clear cut!
‘Peace!’ to all of my Lovely ‘Stalkers’ out there, and have a Groovilicious Day!
