From a Tree’s Point of View

AWESOME TREES & LIGHT 008FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 002

I lie back on the plastic that I was cutting to reduce the amount of leaks inside my TreeHouse-

                      just for a sec….

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 004

Wow- see that massive spider’s web, hanging ‘bout 60’ up, in the middle of ‘NoWhere’?

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 006 Green plus green, plus green, plus green, plus green, plus green….

                   = equals =

–Hey Crayola- You getting’ this?!FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 007

You know, when I was maybe an inch shorter than I am now –about 4 decades ago- I used to take the fallen bark from similar trees as these, and pull the different layers apart and put them back together the ‘Right Way’ using the sap -that hung like a frozen drop of water from the side of any tree you see- as glue.  I called them ‘JigSaw Puzzle Trees’.

Slowly, I begin to spin ‘round on the plastic where I lay, and stop with the top of my head near the base of this tree… Wow.

What an incredible Point of View.

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 010

I close my eyes a moment, shifting gears in my mind, and when I open them again

                              –I Am An ANT.

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 009

I’ve got so many more endless miles to go, before I’m anywhere near Home. FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 012

I’ve gotta pick the Right Trail, to make My Way with this Mighty Load.

My mind is weary….

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 013

….My Path-

seems to Know No End.FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 016

The HighWay disappears ‘round that long, dark, distant bend –do you figure the Folk’ back Home that used to Love me so, would recognize my Shadow, if It ever darkened their door again?FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 011

But Hey- Ain’t that View up there, just so unexpectedly, incredibly nice to see?

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 018

Just so Easy On These damn ol’ weary Eyes?FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 017

Well, lookey here now- from this ‘New’ Point of View, it don’t look long til this Journey brings me back to A Place I used to look to find my Peace…

FROM A TREE'S POINT OF VIEW 019 WTF…?!?!?

Another damn Dead-End!

AWESOME TREES & LIGHT 013

….Zzzz….

What?!  O-right… gotta fix the leak in the roof,

where the rain keeps getting’ in….

    • only three nail holes left that require buckets…. much better than before 😀 now I can focus on gathering firewood and harvesting Chantrelles for supper. I cant seem to run out of things to take pix of around here which also gives me so much inspiration for the Autumn Poetry that has been flooding out of my head. Ive been using the plastic that I put up to keep my firewood dry as my place to write my Poetry Graffitti when it hits me while I work…LOL you should see it… I just cant seem to walk by any kind of blank space without sketching on it or covering it with words…. heh.heh.heh.
